The Naturalist

The Naturalist is a group exhibition featuring recent work by Sara Jones, Eliza Klarer, Robert Larson, Pamela Sherlock, and Talon Stammen. The Naturalist positions the contemporary artist as naturalist: an attentive observer, witness, and defender of nature whose practice engages the entangled relationships among wildlife, landscape, natural materials, and human culture. Through painting, photography, sculpture, works on paper, and woodworking, the artists examine the natural world not only as subject matter and a source of materials, but as a site of inquiry, memory, reverence, and celebration.
